The company’s strategy to work and cooperate with local community and local authorities is one of the main priorities.
At Beralb sh.a we encourage the employment of the locals, specializing them in the mining activity and prevent their migration to other areas in search of a job. Currently, the percentage of the locals that are staff involved in the company and its production activity constitute about 93% of the total employment.Fushe-Arrez with approximately 4,600 inhabitants is located in the district of Puka in Northern Albania, around 200 km to the North of Tirana. The company from more than a decade is developing mining activities in this municipality and in the two communes of Qaf Mali and Gjegjan by employing about 500 local people.
Beralb Sh.a is the main provider of local taxes and biggest employer in the area.
To further continue work with local authorities we have shown responsibility in support of the surrounding infrastructure in the mining area, local communities and wider, and as part of its Social Company Responsibility Program, Beralb sh.a has made several Sponsorships in support of many local activities and initiatives.

BERALB Management has been very careful and responsible towards the local community by hiring most of its employees from the mining areas. This strategy, intends not only to specialize the local workforce in the mining activity but also to prevent the migration of the locals from the mountainous and poor areas to the urban areas in search of a job. Currently the local staff that is involved in running the company and its production activity constitutes about 93% of the staff and employees.

Munellë Mine
